The best dorayaki I’ve had in Tokyo! Scrumptious, light, and not too sweet. This little stand sells a small variety of traditional Japanese desserts, but it’s known for its dorayaki. I tried a few other dorayaki places after this because I liked it so much, but none could compare. The bread is soft and fluffy, the red bean paste is not sugary and dense like many others’ and it’s a good size for the price. Quite filling too!
You know those shrink-wrapped bags of five dorayaki you get cheaply at dollar shops or Asian supermarkets abroad? This is not those. This is the other end of the scale. Super-delicious, not over-sweetened dorayaki along with a selection of other Japanese sweets. Go early or better yet, reserve in advance as they sell out quickly. As others state, it's a very Japanese shop and not particularly English-speaker friendly but their products must be tried at least once.
One of the better shops for dorayaki in Tokyo. 200yen each. They're often sold out of everything and they're operating time Sundays are quite irregular so it's better to reserve the sweets in advance. The staff here are always a bit distant but don't expect great service. At least they're not too rude.
She offers a variety of fresh sweets for around 200 yen, all of which are delicious and just the right amount of sweetness. Of course, you can use this shop everyday but bring the sweets to your important people such as clients for business. The dorayaki in the photo, the store's standard item, is of course delicious, but the uguisu mochi was a real treat. The staff at the store is amiable. The shop is run in an old house, which has a nice old Japanese flavor.
Good
Delicious Dorayaki
I happened to come across a Japanese sweets shop on a small alley that I was passing by. It was around 2pm on a Saturday, and the only thing left was dorayaki, but they seem to be taking reservations, so if you want one, please make a reservation.
The skin of the dorayaki was moist, chewy, and delicious.
It's now on sale three days a week, but you can make reservations now, which might make it easier to buy. The downside is that the store is small, so even if you make a reservation, you have to wait in line. I heard from a friend that the lines were short these days, so I went to buy it myself for the first time in a long time, but when I thought about it, there were a lot of customers who seemed to be buying it as souvenirs for going home at the end of the year. Cane users who find it difficult to wait in line should have asked to run an errand. The customer service is prompt, so if the customers are familiar with their purchases, the turnover is quick. Cash only at the store (credit card payment for online reservations).
